Emily Coward

Head of Development

Emily always had a strong interest in computers growing up and she knew that she wanted a computer- related career but she just wasn't quite sure what! This interest led to her studying a degree in Interactive Multimedia at Staffordshire University and her course focused on lots of interesting aspects of computing, but it was web development that really caught her eye.

Emily worked for a web development agency in Bristol for 12 years and in this time, a good friend introduced Emily to Drupal. Having worked with a huge number of clients before starting at Microserve, Emily was well-equipped to become Head of Development at Microserve. Her experience includes BBC, Number 10, BSkyB, The Pensions Regulator, Eden Project, Barnardos, Macmillan Cancer Support, Argos, EE, Daily Mirror, Virgin Media and many more.

She’s a regular attendee at the Bristol and West Drupal meet-ups and she’s also a co-founder and co-organiser of DrupalCampBristol.

Emily can frequently be found at the Bristol City Women’s football club grounds, whether that’s supporting or helping to run the ticket office. Other than that, she enjoys mountain biking, doing a spot of gardening and tinkering around with bits of code so that she can keep up-to-date with the latest development trends.
