Andrew Nevins

Development has always fascinated Andrew and this interest led to him studying Web Design at UWE, where he achieved a first-class honours degree. The desire to make something work on screen by playing around with code meant that it was only natural for Andrew to fall headlong into a career as a Front-end Developer. Andrew’s particular area of specialism is accessibility-driven development and inclusive design and he enjoys using JavaScript, Vue.js and React.js. When asked what the best bit about his job is, Andrew says that it’s being able to help everyone enjoy the web.

Before starting at Microserve, Andrew worked for a web development agency for 6 years and, in this time, he worked on a large number of exciting projects for clients such as Sky Accessibility,, Liberty Global and Royal Mail. In working with Sky Accessibility, Andrew helped customers to use Sky’s services more effectively and understand accessibility settings so that they were encouraged to explore new services.

In his spare time, Andrew makes open source contributions to WCAG 2.1, WordPress core, WordPress themes and the WordPress support team. Other than this, he can be found playing badminton and piano (although not at the same time) and bouldering.
