Microserve have been involved with Cladco Profiles since 2011 when we took the old static HTML site and transformed it into a largely improved, rich online commerce store built in Drupal 7. Over the years Google Analytics began to show a much wider range of devices and screen resolutions were used to view the site, and event tracking also showed a clear need to change the layout and structure of key content.
The site went through a whole redesign late 2014 to make it fully responsive, and additional features such as the mega menu, custom slider, and improved indexed pages were also added.
Bespoke Purchase Wizard and Calculator
Customers are able to tailor their cladding and sheeting orders using the bespoke ‘Purchase Wizard’ to define types, lengths, coatings and accessories.
Due to the nature of the products, one of the projects requirements was that only a specific category of products could be purchased and paid for online, whereas all other orders had to be sent via email as order leads. This meant that we had to integrate Ubercart and the SagePay payment provider, but add custom functionality to create ‘free orders’ in order for us to satisfy this requirement.
Increased Traffic = Increased Leads
One of the key goals was to increase leads by increasing traffic to the website, as although the domain had accumulated a quality reputation over a long 15 years, the statistics were showing poor user engagement, high bounce rates, and certainly room for improvement.
By working to best SEO practices, improving site content, and designing with usability in mind we were able to achieve significant improvements in all areas quickly after launch. Notable improvements were found in Total Visits, Average Visit Duration, Bounce Rate, and Total Pages Visited.

Microserve has also recently added to Cladco's portfolio by building a Drupal Commerce sub-site selling Composite Decking Boards, named WPC Decking.
