We’ve had an influx of new talent to the team this year, expanding our client services and QA teams and solidifying our development team. We’ve brought in new thinking to our UX team to strengthen our optimisation service, and have welcomed marketing knowhow into the business to provide more content and events to our existing and growing client base. 

Client Services

Ellie Pickering joined the team in March as Account Director, leading our client services team. With a vast experience in digital and marketing, and having worked with vouchercloud, Danone and Costa, she’s brilliantly placed to support our clients in solving business challenges and planning for the future.  

Ellie is now supported by Katie Grant as an Account Manager. With experience working both agency and client side, Katie’s a great advocate for our clients and will assist Ellie in supporting them in getting the most from our work together.  

Quality Assurance

Jake Hollis has joined Joe Bransby to bolster our QA team, supported by Marcus Hann in DevOps. 

Jake joined us in summer 2019 as a junior test engineer after pursuing a career as an online gamer. He has a great eye for detail, is currently learning about accessibility testing, studying for his ISTQB course as well as supporting Joe to deliver high-quality work for our clients.

Marcus joined us as a DevOps Engineer late in 2018 but has made a huge impact in 2019. His role is all things server-related, and he also works on improving developer workflows and automated site testing.


This year we have added three talented developers to our team. 

Matteo Borgognoni joined us in August. Highly skilled at back end Drupal development, Matteo brings a huge amount of experience working with charity websites, including Sue Ryder and the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. 

With over 11 years experience working with Drupal, Rhiannon Purnell is a fantastic addition to the Microserve team. She brings a huge amount of knowledge to the team having worked with big brands such as the EU, Nikon and the BBC.

Adding to our accessibility expertise, Andrew Nevins joined us in January. As an IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies, and with experience helping Gov.uk, Sky and Royal Mail on their accessibility journeys, Andrew is a massive asset, supporting our clients by providing best-in-class accessible websites.

Although not a new member of the team, Seb Anthony has moved into the role of Solutions Architect. With masses of experience in complex integrations, search and migrations, he’s perfectly placed to help our clients harness the power of technology and get the most from their digital investment. 


Harry Stern joined our Experience Team in November. His degree in Maths and Computer Science, coupled with his experience working in startups and agencies has fuelled his interest in data and analytics. He’s joined the team to boost our optimisation services and help our clients get the most from their digital products. 


Bringing 10 years experience working at award winning digital agencies, Lauren Howells has joined the team as our Marketing Manager. She’ll be producing content and events for both clients and new business to better communicate our thought-leadership. 

Having already made a great impact within the business, these new recruits have solidified our service offering and are helping to provide a better experience for our clients. We’re looking forward to welcoming more new faces in 2020.
